Employee Spotlights

Jesus joined Dukane Precast in 1996 starting as a laborer. In the 26 years he’s worked for Dukane, Jesus has worked practically every position at the plant.
Now, as the Plant Manager, Jesus is most proud of the product and projects that he’s worked on over the years. Jesus exemplifies our core values of Loyalty, Integrity, and Perseverance daily.

Throughout Vernon’s 24 years with Dukane, he’s been a drafter in the engineering department and has worked in the estimating department as an estimator.
“I am proud of all the finished products that have been created through hard work and dedication. Being able to walk past multiple buildings and parking decks and say I had a hand in helping to create those structures keeps me excited for future projects. With a background in Construction technology, I am always thinking about where construction can go…not only with its design but also with all the new programs being used for drafting. My time working here has always felt like a family environment more than a place of employment."

Mike started with Dukane Precast twenty-two years ago as a laborer and since then he has accepted several job positions starting with the initial position working on the pole brace crew. Since then, a tucker driver, a batch plant operator, and a leadman managing the batch plant dept. Currently, he holds the position of Maintenance/Purchasing Manager. Mike has also taken on the responsibility of managing Dukane’s people center safety program “DEMOS”.
“I am proud of the changes Dukane has made in our safety program and am grateful to be a part of a company that has incorporated an employee-based safety program which has the employees working with each other to assure we have a concerned pair of eyes watching our actions and keeping us safe.”
Outside of work, Mike is most proud of how God has changed his life over the years and the work God allows him to be a part of his church. Every week he gets to work with kids as the choir director, and Sunday School Jr Boys teacher, and he volunteers at nursing homes with some of the teens from the church singing and preaching the Gospel of the Bible whenever he gets a chance.

Mauricio joined Dukane Precast in 2007 in the Quality Control Department. In the 15 years, he’s worked for Dukane, Mauricio has worked up to the position of Quality Control Supervisor.
During his time with Dukane, Mauricio has learned about the ways cement works in different types of environments and the importance of maintaining quality control in all the products. Mauricio demonstrates daily the Dukane core values of Loyalty, Integrity, and Perseverance.

Hugo started working with Dukane in 2007 as a laborer and started building his career by learning how to use our heavy equipment, becoming a leadman, and now he holds a yard supervisor position where he controls the product handling and detailing of our product.

Arturo Castaneda, our skilled and dedicated Production Supervisor at Dukane Precast. With 13 years of experience, Arturo has truly made a mark in the industry, starting as a laborer in 2002, Quality Control Inspector in 2005 and is currently a Production Supervisor.
Along the way, Arturo has continuously honed his skills and knowledge, becoming certified in ACI, PCI 1, and PCI 2. With a drive to continue learning and growing, Arturo hopes to achieve PCI 3 this year.
Arturo brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his role, as he genuinely enjoys learning about new designs, drawings, and other aspects of his job. He takes immense pride in the work he does and the products that are fabricated under his supervision, as he strives to ensure that every piece is crafted with excellence and the best possible quality.
We are proud to have Arturo as a part of our team and grateful for his unwavering dedication to producing top-notch products for our customers.
