Dukane Precast is proud to announce a major milestone at Parkside of Old Town: erection of precast components across all three buildings has now been completed.
This sets the stage for architectural finishes, mechanical / electrical installation, and the final push toward project delivery. Below is a look at what this means from a precast and construction perspective — and how the benefits we promised are real on site.
What Did We Deliver?
Three buildings fully erected with precast components
Everything from wall panels to structural beams and double-tees (as applicable) has been placed.
Milestone achieved for Building 16
At Parkside V, Building 16’s precast erection is officially complete, marking a key benchmark.
Transition to Phase III / surface & finish work
With structural precast in place, crews can shift focus to substrate work, interiors, curtain wall systems, and final site finishes.
Why This Matters (Benefits in Practice)
Speed & schedule confidence
With the “heavy lifting” of structural erection behind, the project has less schedule risk. Trades can sequence more reliably.
Quality & alignment locked in early
Dimensional tolerances, alignment, and panel fitting have been confirmed, reducing costly field rework late in the job.
Supply & coordination reward
Because we manage precast manufacture, transport, staging, and erection, GMA Construction and the owner have had fewer moving parts to juggle.
Visibility into next steps for stakeholders
Now that the structure is set, architects, MEP, and interior teams can better plan their trade sequences.
What’s Next: The Final Stretch
Envelope & architectural cladding installation
Applying façade elements, insulation, sealants, and exterior finishes.
MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) & interior build-out
Routing systems, partitions, finishes, and final commissioning
Testing, commissioning, punch lists
Ensuring systems work, inspecting for defects, final corrections
Site & landscaping
Paving, hardscapes, site amenities, and final site cleanup
Handover & occupancy preparations
Lessons & Observations (From the Field)
Early coordination of crane placement and staging areas paid dividends.
Scheduling buffers for weather still matter, even with fast erection.
QC checks (dimensional, alignment) performed immediately on erection allowed minor adjustments before subsequent panels went in.
Communication between the precast crew, GMA Construction, and trades kept interface conflicts low.
How Dukane Precast Adds Value Here
PCI-certified processes ensured consistency in every panel batch
Domestic sourcing reduced risk of material delays
Tight tolerances and engineered connection design prevented misfit issues
An integrated erection plan (deliveries, crane logistics, sequencing) synchronized site operations
